The Communication Experiment
The Communication Experiment™
Strategies and tips to change the way your team communicates in one day.
What Every College Student Needs To Know®
About Communication & Teamwork
What makes a team work? Communication. And what makes communication work? The team. This session will change the way you work with each other...forever. The Communication Experiment establishes new levels of communication and teamwork through real-time fun and games (the way it should be done). This experiment takes participants through each step of the process in four easily-digested parts—communication, cooperation, collaboration, and synergy.
We tend to live in the same manner that we play games, so this experiment is made up of exercises that allow the audience to practice their communication and teamwork skills in the moment so that we can all build habits of better communicators. You can’t get along with others until you first get along with yourself, and better communication starts with YOU.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Participants will…
Improve communication: start with rapport, earn trust, establish credibility, and focus on clarity.
Increase cooperation: agree on common language, develop a team identity, set ground rules, and appreciate conflict.
Promote collaboration: forge shared values, establish a team charter, define a collective vision, and develop a collaborative strategy.
Inspire synergy: assess talent and enlist support, designate appropriate resources, set up accountability management, and celebrate successes.
