LONG STORY SHORT
In college, I was a Resident Assistant, Tutor, Orientation Leader, Peer Mentor—every type of student leader I could possibly be! As graduation came closer and closer, I found myself wondering if I had chosen the wrong career path. I LOVED Higher Ed and student life, but, I also still loved performing and acting, which is what I went to college for. How could I merge those two worlds? I came upon Collegiate Empowerment and knew immediately it was the place for me. I couldn’t believe that a combination of working in Higher Ed AND being on stage existed! Now, I get to have conversations with awesome students all over the country.
THE REST OF THE STORY
I’ve always been an enneagram type 2, “The Helper,” so it was no surprise that I fell in love with being a Resident Assistant at college. I went through several hardships during my college years, and I wanted to use my experiences to help other students who might be going through similar things so that they know they’re not alone.
Not only did this lead to me being an RA for three years, but I also wrote a play on sexual assault and produced it in Scotland at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and in Philadelphia, PA. I collaborated with local sexual assault advocacy groups to provide educational talk backs and resources at the end of each show. My passion for sexual assault education and mental health awareness only grew from there.
As my passion for this topic grew, I was blessed to work on a project to help reveal the toxicity of street harassment, otherwise known as “Cat Calling.” I spoke to people of all different ages who experienced daily street harassment—whether it be on their way home from work, school, or even just out for a walk in the park. Later on, my first piece of writing was published in a textbook titled “Sexual Harassment: A Reference Handbook”. It’s my life mission to help change the way we view sexual assault and alter the toxic behaviors in our society, and I love that CE empowers me to teach consent and awareness to people everywhere.
REAL GPA
My Core Genius is in Relationships! When I perform a CE show, I want to make sure that every audience member feels seen and heard.
OUTSIDE OF CE
I’m based in New York City and when I’m not educating and performing, you can usually find me bird watching in Central Park!
SIGNATURE MOVE
