PRODUCTIONS MANAGER

LONG STORY SHORT

I love helping college students and the Higher Ed Pros doing great work behind the scenes who make all of the hard stuff look fun! Having worked in advising/counseling, residence life, disability services, the First Year Experience, and all areas in between. Now, I enjoy connecting with and managing the amazing CE community and campuses we reach in person and online! As the Productions Manager since 2017, I act as point person for our clients as they plan amazing events for their students and I make sure that CE functions as a well-oiled machine.

THE REST OF THE STORY

I have always loved college campuses and the unique buzz of activity that exists when students collaborate and learn from a dedicated Higher Ed Pro. The opportunity to pursue a master's in Counseling Psychology in Student Affairs combined my love of helping people and the daily work of student affairs. Internships at Bucks County Community College provided an advising and counseling springboard to a full-time Area Coordinator role in residence life at Lebanon Valley College (with all the glory that comes with living on campus again with a meal plan!).

After getting married in 2011, I said goodbye to adult dorm life and became the Assistant Director of Student Success at Immaculata University. Meeting with students individually for weekly academic coaching, overseeing disability services and student accommodations, and collaborating with faculty was a hectic and fulfilling experience. One year later, I became the Director of the same operation and led the First-Year Experience program for 500 students and kicked off each orientation with a large-scale service trip throughout Philadelphia. All of these roles taught me that college is about discovering passions and opinions, impactful professors, and all of the other myriad out of class experiences that turn green freshmen into seasoned seniors. I absolutely loved that work, am grateful to have done it, and to have seen every side of the field!

Collegiate Empowerment found me in May 2017 when I was looking for a way to transition from full-time Higher Education Pro to a role that offered more time with my growing family. A big believer in timing, this fortuitous meeting with Tony D'Angelo has led to a unique opportunity to stretch my professional skills and grow within CE as the Productions Manager. Helping clients plan events and bring the CE experience to their campus is exciting and fulfilling. No matter if it's a small single event for a targeted student group or a series of high impact events over the course of a semester, I know the CE message and approach is impactful for that campus.

REAL GPA

As the Productions Manager, I utilize my Real GPA of Relationship and Management to connect Higher Ed Pros at the onset of the booking process and assist them in their quest to bring excellent CE events to their deserving students! Having been on the other side of the booking process with vendors, booking a CE event is one of the easiest things that a campus partner does all semester!

OUTSIDE OF CE

At home in a Philadelphia suburb, I am blessed to be a stay-at-home parent to three active and fun young children who like to cook and eat as much as their mom. I love long walks with my favorite podcasts, reading, cooking up a storm, and my fun-loving husband. Any spare time is spent with family and friends in the Poconos by my favorite lake. Life is never dull and that's just the way I like it!
